Meditation not medication

Anti-depressant use in Gloucestershire has gone up by 45% in the last four years. While anti-depressant medication can help people get out of a temporary ‘hole’, it need not be the long-way term solution to stay mentally well. This is where mindfulness meditation can help many people, and it’s why it’s been recognised as an effective means of preventing relapse into depression by the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence.
